1. Why can't the Genbank file I uploaded produce any maps?
The reason for this situation may be that the uploaded file format does not comply with the rules of the GenBank format, including the lack of CDS-related information in the file, the existence of illegal characters in the file, and encoding is not UTF-8, etc. In addition, spaces are in the file name of the uploaded file.
2. Why the annotation file in GenBank format I uploaded cannot generate circular genome map with repeat distribution?
If the cis-splicing gene map or trans-splicing gene map can be generated, but only the circular genome map with repeat distribution cannot be generated, the possible cause of this situation is that the amount of data in the uploaded file is too large, resulting in insufficient server memory and unable to generate. In this case, the user can send the file to the mail, and we will generate the image separately for the user.
3. Why the annotation file in GenBank format I uploaded cannot generate cis-splicing gene map?
Except for the problem of the file format uploaded in Question 1, it is possible that all genes in the entire file data do not contain intron, because cis-splicing gene map only shows genes that contain intron.
4. Why the annotation file in GenBank format I uploaded cannot generate trans-splicing gene map?
Except for the problem of the file format uploaded in Question 1, there may be the following reasons: (i) All genes in the file data do not contain the rps12 gene. (ii) The distribution structure of the rps12 gene in the data does not conform to the structure we set. (3) In the data, rps12 may not belong to the trans-splicing gene.
No matter what problems the user encounters, user can send us an email (cliu@implad.ac.cn) and the files that are ready to generate maps. We will check the files for them and generate the graphs that users need as much as possible.
